Sue had another Herceptin infusion today. She will continue to have Herceptin infusions once every 3 weeks until sometime in November.

She also had an Echocardiogram to test her heart function. This is standard procedure while taking Herceptin because the drug can be hard on the heart. We will know the results of that test in a few days.

Her blood test today showed that her liver function has improved, but it is still below normal. The doctor said it can take some time for that to go back to normal. He didn't seem concerned about that.

It has been 6 weeks since Sue had her last chemo treatment. Her hair is starting to grow back, as well as her eyebrows. She is feeling much better now that the chemo is done, however, she is still weak from not being able to do anything for the last 6 months. There are still some side affects from her medications. The Estrogen blocker prescription that she has to take for the next five years has been giving her some trouble. We are hoping these problems will go away as she gets stronger from not having any more chemo. The doctor said the chemo drugs can last in her system for several months after her last treatment, so it might take awhile before she is completely free from those problems.
