Sue had her third chemotherapy treatment today. Because of the results of her blood tests (which they do prior to every chemo treatment), the Oncologist said he wanted to keep her on the reduced dosage of 66% for this time.

He said it is possible that for Sue, this decreased dosage of the chemo drugs is the correct dosage for her. They normally determine the dosage depending on size and weight. However, everybody is different. Some are able to metabolize the drugs faster than others. It may be this is the dosage she needs to take for every treatment.

He also said that if needed, they may go to seven reduced courses of chemo rather than six full courses so that she gets the same results. It all depends on how well she reacts to this treatment and the results of her blood tests at the start of the next course. Her next chemo is scheduled for January 10, 2013.
